    TRON should be the third to support USDT transfers, and at the time it was the cheapest. The first was Omni's BTC‑format USDT, then the ETH‑format USDT, but both were expensive. TRON’s USDT was the third; if I recall correctly, the gas was just 1 U back then, and almost every exchange that used USDT supported it. Around 2019 to 2020, a flood of meme coins emerged. Many of those meme and gambling tokens were on EOS, and TRON’s mechanism is very similar to EOS, which led to many “local‑flavor” projects being built on TRON. At that time, the TRON ecosystem was called the Las Vegas of blockchain. Moreover, gambling existed both online and offline, which drove many Southeast Asian big players to start using TRON, and it gradually spread to Africa, Latin America, and other regions, forming the current situation. TRON USDT’s success is mainly thanks to mobile wallets and low fees; the local projects could ignore ETH‑based USDT but had to support TRON because it was cheap. For many people it has become a habit. Of course, BNB Chain is now cheaper, but habits are hard to change.

    I have one thing I can never understand: among all mainstream public chains, when it comes to stablecoin trading, TRON has the slowest speed, the most expensive gas, and the worst DApp support. So why do so many people still use it? Can anyone answer me? Where does BNBCHAIN lose? Where does Solana lose? @heyibinance @cz_binance @justinsuntron
