Anthropic, the US artificial intelligence startup, could be valued at as much as $2 trillion, the New York Times reported on Aug. 23.
The newspaper said the banks leading Anthropic’s initial public offering have recently discussed with potential investors a plan to raise more than $100 billion. If that plan materializes, Anthropic could be valued at up to $2 trillion in the IPO.
An offering on those terms would surpass SpaceX’s record June fundraising of $85.7 billion. SpaceX was valued at $1.77 trillion at the time.
Anthropic’s surging revenue has helped drive the higher valuation. Its annualized revenue jumped to more than $65 billion last month.
